In a recent conversation with Francis Pereira, who has been part of ODeX team from past 3.5 years & works as a Manager- Support & Operations, we discovered about his passion, love and craziness for Riding. He is an enthusiastic Biker and has travelled southern parts of India by his Royal Enfield Classic350 named “Lucifer”.
Here is his story to showcase:
Riding my motorcycle away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the day to day chaos gives me a chance to de-stress myself and explore new places, meet people, enjoy the regional delicacies and become one with nature to where we belong.
Travelling to remote or rural locations makes me realize how lucky we are to have so much around us but still dissatisfied with our lives we live in.
Sun on my back and wind in my face, makes me smile and rejuvenates me with wonderful landscapes of nature. The memories carried on every ride makes me smile and helps me further tackle the challenges on the road ahead as well as on the highway of life.
I have almost ridden for around 1.25 lakh kilometres on my most beloved Royal Enfield motorcycle which I have named “Lucifer”. Covered the entire southern part of India from Mumbai – Bangalore – Pondicherry – Dhanushkodi – Kanyakumari – Kochi – Ooty – Mangalore – Goa – Mumbai which clocked 4500 kilometres on the odometer and has been one of my most favourite road trips done so far. Now looking forward to traveling to the remaining parts of India and hoping to do it, till I am able to find my balance on the motorcycle.
In our lives, we ride the highway of life which has ups and downs, smooth roads as well as bad off roads, slush or dry dusty patches, but the destination in the end is always worth the pain went through.
“They say life is a highway and we all travel our own roads, some good, some bad, yet each is a blessing of its own.” - Jess "Chief" Brynjulson
